We are deeply saddened to announce that our much-loved friend and collaborator Debbie Dickinson who together with us founded WOMA, has passed away. Her untimely death represents a huge loss and our sympathies are with Debbie’s partner, family and friends.
Her passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of all who knew her, yet he enduring memory that so many people shared with us was Debbie’s commitment to WOMA, to helping women in Africa reclaim a sense of dignity by gaining a skill to earn some income and through fundraising via the world of music and arts.
At some point in the future we will endeavour to pay tribute to Debbie’s commitment with a music event dedicated to her work. In the meantime the most fitting legacy is to continue the important work which Debbie helped to establish.
